Once the notary has begun the commute, the agreed travel/convenience fee becomes due and remains non-refundable even if the appointment cannot be completed.
This includes cancellations after travel begins, missing or insufficient identification, inability to complete the signing, missing witnesses, lack of access, or circumstances preventing a lawful notarization.
No-show fee: applicable travel fee + $25.
The client is responsible for determining whether witnesses are required and for providing them at the appointment.
If Cherish Serenity Notary must arrange a witness, the request must be made in advance and carries an additional $25 per witness fee.
If a required witness is unavailable after travel has begun, the travel fee remains due.
Every signer must establish identity in a manner permitted by Florida law. The notary may decline a notarization if the signer appears unable to understand the nature and effect of the document, is unwilling, is being coerced, or if legal requirements are not met.
If travel has already begun, the travel fee remains due even when the notarization cannot be completed.
Cherish Serenity Notary reserves the right to decline or leave any location considered unsafe, threatening, inaccessible, unlawful, or inappropriate.
For safety reasons, the appointment may be required to take place at a mutually agreed public location such as a well-lit bank, coffee shop, library, or business lobby.
Cherish Serenity Notary currently provides in-person mobile notarization services only. The signer must personally appear before the notary at the time of notarization.
Remote Online Notarization is not currently offered under this service policy.
A 10-minute grace period begins at the scheduled appointment time.
After the grace period, a waiting fee of $1 per minute is added for each additional minute the notary is required to wait.
